KLPA Membership

KLPA membership registration opens October 1 for 2025. This is a great time to sign up as you are given 15 months of membership for the price of 12.   The goal of the Kawartha Lakes Pickleball Association (KLPA) is to represent and be the voice of pickleball players in Kawartha Lakes.  The KLPA has and continues to facilitate the development of pickleball for all ages, skill levels and abilities in the CKL.   We universally promote and advocate on behalf of of our members the recognition of pickleball as a sport in the CKL.   To do this we need your support as pickleball players and encourage you to click on the link below, which also not only supports the KLPA, but the Canadian and Provincial Pickleball Associations so they can grow the sport in partnership with KLPA.

Benefits of Membership

  • Inclusion in the Pickleball Ontario (POA) POA and Pickleball Canada (PCO) PCO insurance program.*

  • Participation in the PCO national member management software package (PCNS).*

  • Fees payment processing system PCO.*

  • A common single voice when dealing with local civic authorities for more opportunities and facilities for pickleball play.

  • Recognized entity when applying for funding from any source.

  • Ability to manage local pickleball affairs.

  • Coaching and teaching opportunities, other clinics - beginner to advanced training, officiating and training-the-trainer.

  • Structured play with all-year-round access to locations.

  • A newsletter, social activities and a contact list of players.

  • Arrangement of tournaments by the KLPA and members automatically have insurance to play in tournaments.

Mission Statement

Our primary goal is to represent and be the voice of pickleball players in the City of Kawartha Lakes (C0KL), the main liaison with the CoKL and pickleball governing bodies, the Pickleball Canada Organization (PCO) and the Pickleball Ontario Association (POA) and other sports associations and clubs.

Our mission is to:

  • Facilitate the development of pickleball for all ages, skill levels and abilities in the CoKL by cultivating a fair environment that promotes enjoyment, health and social engagement without discrimination.

  • Source new pickleball venues to offer players more choices with multiple locations and sessions as the popularity of this game grows.

  • Universally promote and advocate the recognition of pickleball as a sport.

Membership Fees:

Membership in the KLPA is $30 annually; 

- $10 is retained by the KLPA - Kawartha Lakes Pickleball Association

- $10 goes to POA - Pickleball Ontario Association 

- $10 goes to PCO - Pickleball Canada Organization

*The KLPA Board chose to be affiliated with the Pickleball Ontario Association and Pickleball Canada Organization.
