Pickleball Instruction

For the Summer season, Learn to Play is being offered at the Bobcaygeon Curling Club by local volunteers

Tuesdays 9-11am $3

Thursdays 7-9pm $3 

No prior registration- just show up and let them know you’ve never played before and they will teach you the game as you play. They have loaner paddles . Come in gym attire and bring water

Ken Haggert:

• Instructor Level 1 & 2: Pickleball Instruction

• National Coaching Certification

• Years played: Since 2014

• Tournament Rating: Mixed - 3.7, Doubles - 3.4

• Tournament Results: 3 Gold, 4 Silver, 3 Bronze

• Willing to teach between 3 - 8 students at a time.

• Intermediate level and up

• 1 to 8 players maximum per session

Marty Leeking:

Pickleball 101

• I offer 90 min session and willing to work with all levels of players who feel my experience and knowledge can be of assistance.

• I prefer to work in small groups being a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 players.

• The cost of these sessions is $20 per person min of 4 players or $80 for a 1 on 1.

• Prior to each session I start with a questionnaire to be completed by each individual player which provides me direction on what they hope to gain from my session.

• At the beginning of each session, I will complete a short player evaluation and then focus on the skills that need improvement.

• We will focus on technics of the forehand, backhand, 3rd shot drop, dinking, punch shot, spins, lob, foot work and court movement.

• The latter part of the sessions will be spent on game play which includes coaching of the various technics worked on as well as game strategy.

• I also offer coaching to pairs who would like to prepare for upcoming tournaments at the same cost.
